ESG
Environmental, Social & Governance (Corporate Governance) ESG
MWM is shaping a new form of mobility—locally rooted, digitally connected, and consistently sustainable.
For us, sustainability is not an add-on, but the foundation of everything we do. We take responsibility across four dimensions: environmental, social, economic, and in the way we are led and organized. Sustainability is our unique selling proposition.
Sustainability strategy
Our goal is to create mobility that connects people, strengthens regions, and conserves resources—today and in the future. In doing so, we align ourselves with internationally recognized standards (including GSTC) as well as our own Code of Conduct. The key sustainability aspects have been systematically assessed and prioritized as part of the MWM action field analysis.
1. Ecological sustainability – mobility with climate impact
We reduce emissions and promote the use of renewable energy.
Our goal is to design mobility solutions that are aligned with the climate targets of regions and municipalities.
Our goals by the end of 2026:
-
80% of our vehicle fleet will be emissions-free or low-emission.
-
100% of the electricity used will come from certified renewable energy sources.
-
We will improve energy efficiency at our depots, targeting a 10% reduction compared to 2024.
Our contribution:
We focus on electric fleets, efficient and digital route planning, and partnerships with regional or renewable energy providers.
2. Social sustainability – responsibility for people and regions
We create fair, safe, and future-oriented working conditions.
As a regionally rooted company, we see ourselves as a partner to the people and communities on the ground.
Our goals by the end of 2026:

Introduction of a mandatory training and professional development program for all employees
(content and format depending on role; in some cases, individual decisions by managers may be required). -
Regular training on safety, health, and diversity.
-
Expansion of accessible and inclusive mobility services across all regions.
Our contribution:
We promote diversity, health, and the professional development of our employees while creating long-term opportunities in rural regions.
3. Economic sustainability – mobility that is viable in the long term
Sustainability requires economic stability.
We develop operating models that are efficient, scalable, and compliant with funding requirements—while strengthening the regional economy.
Our goals by the end of 2028:
-
Further expansion and diversification of economically viable and scalable operating models.
-
Expansion and acquisition of combined transport services to increase utilization of existing vehicle fleets or to introduce new, intelligent, and highly efficient mobility solutions.
-
Reinvestment of a portion of annual company profits (1–3%) into innovation, training, and infrastructure.
-
Targeted development of expertise in funding programs and public tenders.
Our contribution:
We combine economic viability with social value and invest strategically in long-term sustainability.
4. Governance & Integrity – embedding sustainability
Responsible conduct is an integral part of our corporate culture.
We act transparently, in compliance with regulations, and with integrity—toward employees, partners, and clients alike.
Our goals by the end of 2026:
-
Introduction of an annual ESG and compliance review.
-
